About Us

We are here to help suburban families and gardeners who value local food systems and natural farm tranquility to find local options for nutrient-rich, healthy local food, plants for edible landscapes, personal care products & a connection to the land.

We began with the purchase of 9 acres in 1999 in the fertile Yamhill Valley between Newberg and Sherwood , with the plan to raise our kids on a small farm. After experimenting with a large variety of crops, meat and eggs over the years, we settled on our niche in small fruit, culinary & medicinal herbs and nursery stock. Along the way we learned all kinds of homesteading techniques that serve the production on the farm as we continue to plant and build infrastructure for a sustainable, local approach that brings nutrient-rich food to those who value the vitality of local food systems for healthy living.

Our Corner of the Willamette Valley

Our farm is conveniently located at the edge of Willamette Valley wine country - just 20 miles southwest of downtown Portland. Parrett Mountain, situated just a short distance east of Newberg, is known for its vineyards, stunning views and pastoral settings. We often see travelers passing by screech on their brakes to snap a photo of our farm and view. We have easy access to a multitude of wineries, Champoeg Historic State Park, dining and strolling in Newberg, George Fox University and Old Town Sherwood. We are located 20 miles from McMinnville's Historic 3rd Street District and just over an hour from Lincoln City on the Oregon Coast. We can help you with specific ideas for dining, entertainment and adventures.
